Interview: » to define your expectations from the massage » The session begins with a speaking time. During the first appointment I will ask you some necessary questions about your medical history. These questions allow me to bring to light possible contraindications to the massage (circulatory problemes, allergies, cancer). They also allow me to know the former traumatisms, the injuries that have undergone the body of the person.

This interview allows me to know the situations and the emotions of the customer which often appear from his/her body and which make his/her suffer (back pain, stomach ache). Finally, the interview ends in the expression of the feeling » here – and now « . So, the customer can express what he wishes to receive during the current session.

The story of the Sensitive Gestalt Massage (S.G.M.)

The S.G.M was created in San Francisco,at the end of the fifties, by Margaret Elke, trained at the Esalen’s institute in California, in which taught Fritz Perls, the father of the Gestalt-therapy. This famous institute was a real laboratory of exploration of different method aimed at the development of the individual in his physical, psychological and spiritual integrity, according to the expression: “give up your head, go to your senses”

• To reach such a result, the Gestalt therapy, recommended massage, but also the respect of some fundamental principle (to be confident in the human nature, enjoy the present moment)

• To elaborate her sensitive massage, a synthesis of a hundred of touch, Margaret Elk studied many types of massage (Swedish, Japanese, native American, etc….) before going live in Europe, at the end of the seventies, in order to teach her technical called first “Californian massage”. This massage was then developed in France by Ulla Bandelow and Raoul Bécart and named over “Sensitive Gestalt Massage”. Our days, the “Sensitive Gestalt Massage” is recognized by the international association of somatotherapy.

• The first massage the man benefits is intra-uterine. The baby takes advantage of this therapy. It sometimes takes a long time to re discover the pleasure to be touched and the touch is nevertheless the first sense to be developed and the last that diseapears.

• The body has, through the skin, the faculty to be cured by itself from a lot of diseases due to the stress of the life. For that purpose, it is essential to learn to know ourself and not to be afraid « to take care of and to listen to ourself ». Often somatizations are an alert that the body sends to the brain, to enlighten the consciousness on a very real problem, which we want, or which we cannot express.
